Armando Romano
The unmistakeable style of Romano’s painting is far from the fashions and the artistic tendences. Although it retraces the school of neapolitan vedutists, he is a painter who ranges from particular subjects to still-life; from the reproduction of ancient paintings to the restoration, with great mastery of craft and confidence. For years he’s been developed deeply in the study of landscapes, immersing himself in the nature; catching its own profound aspects: the light effects, the variation of colours, in according to the change of the seasons; little and scrupulous attentions that give the idea of an artist moderate and apart, but with the clear intention to express by his painting the uncontaminated beauty of the nature. The artist does’t give an interpretation of the landscape but reproduces it scrupulously, taking count of the exaltation of the nature and its own changes.
